Sunil Shelke

Sunil Shelke is an artist who has been inspired by the liveliness of a line. A first class merit holder in G.D. Art, Shelke went on to earn his diploma in Art Education from Abhinav Kala Magavidyalaya, Pune. Shelke has been recognized and awarded by various national art foundations. He has won the special prize for Indian style paintings by Atur Foundation, Pune, merit certificate was awarded by the Bombay Art Society, and also the third prize for painting in an exhibition held by Concern India Foundation. Sunil Shelke’s work has been displayed in his own solo show called ‘Innocence,’ in Pradarshak Art Gallery (Mumbai) and in multiple solo shows. Some of them include ‘Thought’ in J Studio Art Gallery (Pune) and ‘Monsoon Show’ at Jehangir Art Gallery (Mumbai).

Sunil Shelke received Merit Certificate Awarded by the Bombay Art Society in 1999, First Prize for Indian style painting in Exhibition held by Nasik Kala Niketan in 1998, Special Prize for Indian style paintings by Atur Foundation, Pune in 2000, Second prize for painting in the “Expressions” (An inter IT-company multi talent show), Sunil held solo show in 2006 as ‘Innocence’in Pradarshak Art Gallery, Khar (W), Mumbai. He also participant in group shows in 2014 ‘MIND ECHO’in Nehru Centre Artgallery, Mumbai, in 2009 ‘THOUGHT’in J Studio art gallery, Pune, in 2000 'HERWITZ GALLERY' Amdavad -Ni - Gufa, Ahmedabad, 1999 'MANSOON SHOW' in Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai, 1998: Balgandharv Kala Dalan, Pune. also participant in Pune Gallery of Visual Arts showin March 2024.
