“Ukrainian wreath”, 100x100 cm, acrylic, oil, potal, author’s technique. 2024 The symbolism of the Ukrainian wreath has not lost its relevance over the centuries. The power of herbs has always fascinated people. Herbs were used to heal, protect themselves, and decorate their homes. Herbs, like a sign for a person, are plants that grow near the house and are able to heal the inhabitants of the manor. Thistle and chicory symbolized protection, forget-me-not - a mandatory flower of the Ukrainian wreath, a symbol of love. Sage is a symbol of wisdom and longevity, clover is a symbol of luck, and wheat is a symbol of abundance. By weaving such a wreath, people not only enjoyed the beauty of plants, but also supported the faith and traditions of the Ukrainian people by adding a sacred pattern to it - embroidered.
I identify myself as a symbolist artist, using different techniques and their combination. For me, the most comfortable work is to combine oil, gilding and sculpture on canvas, combining everything in the author's technique. All works are made in one copy, have their own history of creation and symbolism. As the collections were created, exhibitions and presentations were held. I took part in annual charity events where auctions were held. Repeatedly, the paintings took part in television and video filming. In 2010, there was the first personal exhibition "Paradise" with the support of the Art Development Fund, later - group and individual exhibitions, and participation in television and mass events: Group exhibition Arts.in.ua (Fund for Promotion of Arts Development); Group exhibition M17 Contemporary Art Center (Competition of young artists); Personal exhibition Nivki-Hall Kamaliya's Charity Night; personal exhibition "Butenko Stable"; personal exhibition Horses Spirit Festival; Filming for the Mega TV channel, the "Mystic Ukraine" series of programs; photo shoot for Viva magazine; Since 2016, a participant in the annual Kamaliya's Charity night auction; Today, many of the works are in private collections: Germany, USA, India, Ukraine, UAE. I work in several directions - oil painting, bas-relief, gilding. Combining realism, gilding technique and bas-relief, I found the niche in which I am most interested in working. I attribute all my works, regardless of the execution technique, to the sphere of symbolism - where color, shape, texture have a certain influence on the space and around it. All paintings have their own idea and direction and are a self-sufficient element of interior design
