Fractal landscape

Fractal landscapes is a series of works made in an original technique (oil and acrylic paints, pastes and structural masses on canvas). The paintings are distinguished by the texture combined with the intensity of color and contrasts of juicy colors. The artist plays with their juxtapositions, weaving them into charming and unpretentiously intense impressions. The richness of structures that the artist obtains through the use of plastic masses enhances the plasticity of the paintings. Jan Astner does not create obvious landscapes, he allows for interpretation and free reception. He urges the viewer to stay longer, feel the rays of the sun on his face, a slight gust of wind, the smell of herbs, the rustle of trees - to find in his memory the pleasure of experiencing nature with all his senses.
