About the artist

Shota Imerlishvili was born in Telavi, Georgia on November 10, 1991. He graduated from the Georgian Technical University with a bachelor's degree in international relations. Shota started painting when he was only three years old and studied art at any art school or university. He has been painting ever since, although he did not study art professionally at any art school or university. A different individual style, a personal way of perceiving reality and emotions, the ability to creatively interweave complex shapes and colors are the main characteristics of my works, which are outlined with one continuous wave of the hand. My personal way of perceiving the modern world, the desire to constantly change and develop, the struggle with emotions and the curiosity to touch people on both the physical and spiritual levels are the main components of my inspiration. For me, art is a driving force and a way of survival. I believe that my art is an expression of protest, emotions, feelings, love, for me art is a way of survival. His first exhibition is on November 11, 2019 at Vache Gallery, Tbilisi, Georgia and his second exhibition is on November 14 at the Georgian Embassy in Brussels, Belgium, he is also a participant in the John Bryan Awards.
