Description of the Artwork “Up, Monestry of Varlaam”

You can see the Monestry of Varlaam (In Greece, Meteora) above the clouds. It represents the wish of the monks, that they wanted to be as close to God as possible. This wish and their faith enable them to build this building in 1541 with simple tools without machines to the top of high rocks. "And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. " Matthew 17:20

About the artist

I was born in 1971 in Győr (Hungary). I graduated as a cultural manager, and then as an economist. I received an MBA degree after graduating from the University of Lincoln. After that, my job and life were connected with e-commerce, where I was a sales and quality assurance manager for many years. I have travelled a lot, and photography has become one of my favorite hobbies. Later, I started to paint with oil, and making art became my primary profession. I like making the intangible tangible through my paintings. I would like to send positive messages through my paintings and use my travel experiences among different cultures to show the complexity of life. Besides these, I choose my painting topics from history, faith, and science themes. My painting style is metaphorical realism, and I work with oil paints. My applied techniques are varied: alla prima, flemish etc. I constantly research and develop new painting tecqhniques to find the best fit to my artworks. I hope I can give you some positive moments by my paintings. I have been exhibiting in Hungary and internationally (e.g. Paris: Carrousel du Louvre, Brussels: Warsaw, Naples etc.).
