About the artist

Born in India, Sangeeta Jaiswal is a self taught Artist and a trained Interior designer. She worked for a short time for an Art printing firm in Spain and has completed commission works for her Interior design clients. Her contemporary works of art have been collected by collectors in European and Asian countries till now. Her art is a highly personal reflection of herself. "Starting my artistic journey in 2018 the desire to create art became an unyielding obligation to myself to explore the inner mechanism of my creative consciousness. I get my inspiration through music, books, architecture or the work of other artists in my field. I make use of rough materials like reverse canvas which gives more texture to the paint. All portraits are generally finished with intricate vintage style calligraphy, paint drippings and splashes. I name my paintings from the ideas I get through reading poems and writings by writers like Rumi, Charlotte Bronte or Jane Austen." Sangeeta-jaiswal.com
