Acrylic texture painting on canvas board to symbolise devotion in its true sense. In indian mythology and history there are mentions of Meera's extreme devotion for lord Krishna. She was a queen and a poet and yet lived a life of a saint and kept roaming on the streets playing her Ektara (single string instrument) and singing the hymns of lord krishna. She loved him with all her devotion. I wanted to depict that devotion on the canvas.
I am a self taught artist, with an extreme passion for colours. I hold a master degree in Media Studies from the University of Bedfordshire, and after working in the media industry for 10 long years i gave it up to follow my dreams. I never sold my paintings before but now i feel i am ready to be seen as Ralph Waldo Emerson said "Every artist was first an amateur". I believe people will like my work.
