Description of the Artwork “Trying to remember”
Since childhood, as I can remember, I had a feeling that “I forgot something”. This “something” is very important. Some initial truth, a big question that can not be denounced in a specific form. but I definitely feel this truth, it looms somewhere in the background all my life, and I try to pull it to the surface of consciousness. Almost everything that I do, one way or another, is subordinate to this task. In every book I read, a work of art, music, I look for an answer to this question everywhere, but at best I get only hints, a pale shadow, a projection, but not her own. This work is this search, it fantastically accurately reflects this process .

Painting for me is a method to discover reality. There is a great temptation to romanticize art too much, it is in everyday simplicity that the whole meaning of creativity and art is enclosed. In my works I try to understand the nature of everyday reality, to erase the boundary between art and life.
