Description of the Artwork “The lighthouse. Small. Iceland”
I was traveling to Iceland in the summer of 2019. It was one of the best travelings in my life. In the picture, I show you my impression of the cliffs and the lighthouse near the Atlantic ocean. The nature is so beautiful and unique instead of buildings. The painting was made with a heavy mixed texture (coffee, paper, oat flakes). Signed on the back. Ready to hang.

Hi! My name is Katya. I have been drawing since I was a little kid. Last few years I`ve been traveling a lot: Austria, Germany, Iceland, Portugal, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Poland, Estonia, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Greece, France, Netherlands, Latvia, Madagascar. So all my landscapes are part of my traveling. I inspired by nature and art galleries and museums during my adventures - Claude Monet (Albertina), Gustav Klimt and Egon Schiele, Anselm Kiefer, Edvard Munch (Oslo, Bergen), Rembrandt, Vincent Van Gogh (Amsterdam), Ivan Marchuk, Pablo Picasso and so on. I use heavy texture in my paintings. It means that I use natural gifts - oat flakes, groats, dried flowers and grass, etc. I feel like I am a sculptor, not only a painter. Art is my religion. Art is my flow and freedom. My energy and my private world. Should I be another person? Should I live with my art person on a distance like with a neighborhood? Should I negotiate with art? Or leave it? Art does not tolerate cowardice and talk. It is a voluptuous and cruel step. You can not sleep or eat from it, forget about everything and everyone. And in those moments when you get well, you can find another person inside of you, feel the vibrations in the body and grasp the Universe.
