In this work I explore the illusory nature of bright and dark prismatic colours by playfully reinterpreting a photograph of an embrasure that I took near Dwejra (Malta). This limited edition artwork is available in different sizes/prices – dm for further details.
I am a visual artist who lives and works in Malta. The works that I produce focus primarily on drawing, painting and digital media. My work process involves research, planning and experimentation, due to my interest in bringing different subjects together in order to create a form of interdisciplinary art. My work tends to revolve around ideas related to landscape painting, geometry and colour theory. It incorporates methods of reinterpreting images of symbolic objects and locations through the use of illusory colour patterns which are often derived from notions related to modern art, physics, geology and digital technology.
