Description of the Artwork “Battle for Ukraine”
This work symbolizes the struggle of light and darkness that unfolded in heaven and earth for the fate of Ukraine. In the center of the composition is the figure of an angel with charred wings, reminiscent of the scorched but unconquered spirit of the country. His figure is covered with cracks, testifying to the trials that have fallen to his lot, but his gaze is turned upwards - in the pursuit of light and truth. Chaos unfolds around the angel: the fire of war engulfs the earth, and gargoyles emerge from the darkness - symbols of the impending evil. They personify the forces of aggression and destruction that are trying to engulf Ukraine. But above all this rises a figure that symbolizes God's judgment and hope for justice. The composition combines elements of mysticism, religious allegory and modern struggle, conveying the drama and greatness of the spirit of the Ukrainian people. This battle continues, and Ukraine, although tired, continues to stand.

My name is Alexander Mats and I am a contemporary digital artist who transforms ideas into visual images using cutting-edge technologies. I was born in 1973 in Kharkov, Ukraine, and from a very young age I could not imagine my life without art. Drawing was my first step into the world of creativity, and a little later I became interested in photography, creating my first images using a film camera. At the age of 40, I unexpectedly discovered videography - a breath of fresh air that pushed me to a deeper dive into professional photography. My path led me to the New York Institute of Photography, where I studied photojournalism, and to the School of Drama and Screenwriting, where I mastered the art of scriptwriting. I attended many courses and seminars that expanded my horizons and taught me to see beauty even in the smallest details. Later, my passion for photography grew into a real passion for conceptual art and surrealism. Currently, I work at the intersection of technology and creativity: I create unusual visual worlds using photography, digital processing, digital drawing and artificial intelligence. My art is an attempt to look beyond the boundaries of reality, to reveal the hidden and to give the viewer the opportunity to see the familiar world in a completely new light. I believe that there is something amazing in every idea, and my mission is to show it through my works. Today, I work under the creative pseudonym Sander Morf.
