Description of the Artwork “What Still Hurts: Silent Strength Within”

What Still Hurts captures the quiet persistence of pain that time cannot erase. The silhouette, immersed in layers of deep blue and warm tones of pink and orange, stands between concealment and revelation. The vibrant strokes blur the boundaries between body and emotion, transforming the unseen ache into something almost tangible. This work speaks of wounds that never fully fade — the kind carried silently, long after the moment has passed. The soft drips of paint resemble memories that resurface unexpectedly, while the bold contrasts evoke the tension between healing and hurting. It’s a portrait of emotional endurance, of beauty formed in the aftermath of breaking. Part of the series What Cannot Be Held (2024–2025), What Still Hurts continues the exploration of fragile emotional states and the invisible traces left by love, loss, and longing. details: Digital artwork on premium matte poster paper 200 g/m² Unique print

About the artist

Tatiana Taner (b. 1988, Chukotka, Russia) is a contemporary artist dedicated to creating warmth and balance through art. She lives and works in Alanya, Turkey. In 2019, she studied under Maria Michi, founder of ARBUZZ Gallery in Moscow, attending the authorial courses “Mania of Creation” and “Friction of Meanings.” Her practice spans digital painting, acrylic, watercolor, collage, and experimental mixed media. She often integrates textiles, structural pastes, and natural materials—sand, sea elements, and plants—creating textured, living compositions. Her work reflects contrasts—chaos and calm, solitude and connection, motherhood and self-awareness. Her artistic path is one of exploration and resilience, shaped by cultural diversity and personal transformation. Each painting becomes a dialogue of light and emotion, offering viewers beauty, serenity, and the quiet assurance that art can be a refuge of hope.
