This work continues a series of female portraits dedicated to the inner transformation of the individual. At this stage, the focus finally shifts from external circumstances to the individual's inner state. The subject is depicted in a calm, steady pose. Her gaze neither avoids nor is it dominated by what is happening. Puffs of smoke linger behind her—a reminder of a world full of uncertainty and anxiety. However, they no longer define her inner space. The swallow appearing next to the figure becomes an image of movement, renewal, and the continuity of life. In the composition, it combines a state of rest with a sense of time passing. The painting's title reinterprets the well-known saying, "It's good where we are not." Instead of searching for a safe place, the idea of inner presence emerges. Peace ceases to depend on circumstances and becomes a personal choice.
