Even on the darkest night, when there is no light and no stars visible, you can still illuminate your path with the inner glow of your soul. My favorite Ukrainian tradition is connected with the pumpkin. As in many nations, in Ukraine, the parents of the boy and girl could arrange a wedding without their consent, but if the girl did not like the young man, she could give him a pumpkin as a sign of refusal and then the wedding was canceled. So a Ukrainian woman could always choose her own destiny. Details: * Title: “Pumpkin” * Artist: Tetiana Bogdanova * Size: 39,37*31,5*1 inch (100*80*2 cm) * Oil painting on canvas * 2026
