This captivating painting evokes a tranquil refuge where warmth and peace coexist. The small house embraced by radiant sunlight and vibrant greenery invites viewers into an intimate sanctuary by the sea. The artist’s palette knife technique adds movement and life to the scene, highlighting the glowing tree and winding path as symbols of hope and emotional clarity. The bright yellows and fresh blues embody comfort and optimism, making the work a heartfelt ode to finding personal solace in nature’s embrace.

My name is Vladyslav Durniev, and I’m an artist from Ukraine. I work primarily with oil paints and a palette knife — a technique I love for its raw energy and honest expression. For me, painting is not just about depicting the world, but about feeling it — and sharing that feeling with the viewer. I’m inspired by color, light, and atmosphere. Sometimes it’s a rainy cityscape, sometimes a moment of stillness among flowers, or the shimmer of sunlight on water. I don’t aim for precision — I aim for life in the brushstrokes, for emotion, for the mood of the moment. I paint intuitively. Every texture, every color, carries my response to life, to memory, to movement. I’m not trying to impress — I simply speak in the language of paint. And if one of my works makes you pause, smile, or feel something — then we’ve already connected. Technique: All of my paintings are created by hand with oil paints, mostly using a palette knife on canvas or canvas board. I work in a textured, expressive style — often in one sitting — to preserve the spontaneous energy of the moment.
