This artwork is an original mountain landscape painted in the impasto technique, inspired by my summer 2025 journey to the Carpathian Mountains, to Mount Petros, Ukraine. I captured this view myself, and later transformed it into a textured, atmospheric painting filled with depth, serenity, and soft mountain haze. The piece features layered mountain silhouettes bathed in morning light, with deep green fir trees in the foreground and a gentle gradient of cool blues and soft misty tones in the distance. Rich texture created with modeling paste adds volume and tactile beauty, making the painting look different depending on the lighting.

I am Anna Shkolik, a contemporary Ukrainian artist. In my works, I combine a deep connection with nature and art, creating paintings that captivate with their emotional depth and technical mastery. My main themes are mountain landscapes and iris flowers. In my mountain landscapes, I use the impasto technique, creating dimensional and expressive sceneries with texture paste. The iris flowers, depicted in a realistic manner, mesmerize with their detail and color palette, conveying the beauty and grandeur of these plants. I hold two degrees: as an art teacher and an interior designer, which allows me to combine aesthetic principles in art with a designer’s approach to space. My whole life is inseparably connected with art, and through my paintings, I aim to convey not only external beauty but also deep emotional experiences that inspire and transform the perception of the world around us.
