Inspired by the song “Lemon Tree” by Fools Garden, this painting explores the tension between outer vitality and inner emptiness. Vivid greens and bursts of yellow suggest growth and life, while darker areas quietly interrupt the surface, introducing a sense of weight and stillness. The composition feels alive, yet unsettled - holding both energy and absence at once. The Shape of Sound: Series Description This series, was created through a deep listening process - to music, to lyrics, and to the emotional space they leave behind. Each painting begins with a song, but it is not an illustration of it. Instead, it is a translation - from sound into movement, from emotion into material. The works explore how feelings take form: how memory lingers, how tension builds, how release unfolds. Through layered surfaces, directional gestures, and shifting color, each painting becomes a physical response to an internal experience. Created using an impasto palette knife technique.
