THE SONG OF DEVOTION... THE GREATEST COMPOSER IN THE CLASSICAL MUSIC WORLD Saint Thyagaraja is one of the greatest composers in the classical music world of south India and respected as a divine name. His music came to be widely appreciated for its charm and grandeur, spiritual fervor and transcendental sublimity. Rama bakthi and Nadhopasana are the two cardinal features of the music of Saint Thyagaraja. He embodied ethical and philosophical truths in his songs. His devotion and piety were equaled only by his humility and his integrity. He composed his songs in Telugu . The language has enriched itself by his composition. The compositions of Saint Thiyagaraja are simple in lyrics and the tunes set by him are pleasing and easy to render and also soft on your ears, mind and heart.
