Description of the Artwork “Sunflowers”
A group of sunflowers on a bright summer day, painted in oil with expressive, visible brushstrokes. Warm yellows and deep greens stand against the clear blue sky, creating a strong and lively contrast. If you have any questions about the artwork, please feel free to ask.

Mykola Volchko, Ukraine
I am a Ukrainian self-taught artist working primarily with oil painting. I have been interested in drawing and painting since childhood, but began working seriously as an artist later in life. My subjects include figurative painting, portraits, flowers, birds and nature. I am particularly interested in color, light and the expressive possibilities of oil paint. Rather than following one strict style, I choose the approach that best suits each subject, from more realistic figurative works to looser and more expressive painting. I continue to study, experiment and develop my own visual language. For me, painting is both a way of observing the world more closely and a process of constant learning. All works presented here are original paintings created by me.
