The Personification of Passionate Love, the hart’s-tongue (a fern with curative properties) transcends into the form of the Dragobete on Feb. 24, as a symbol of the pure love of the youth, associated by the Romanians with the chirping and mating of the birds of the forest whose patron is, also called the Head of Spring. The Dragobete is also associated with the Cupid God – from Roman mythology, with Eros, from the Greek one. An excellent feast of fertility, being the birthday of both the birds, which make new nests or repair old ones and humans.
