Yellow Tulips

This is a painting of yellow tulips done in oil paint on linen canvas. I love color and in this particular style of painting I like to paint each section in pure colors and not allowing it to mix on the canvas. That way I can make it very vibrant and bright. With flowers this is a perfect fit, because I want to convey the brilliance of their color with an extreme exaggeration of the realism of color.
