Description of the Artwork “Rose Luminescence”
This artwork continues the exploration of light within floral forms. Unlike the previous piece, where the glow is concentrated in a single flower, here it is gently distributed among several roses, creating a sense of subtle interaction and inner unity. Each bud and blooming rose reflects and carries light in its own way, forming a shared luminous atmosphere. The viewer’s eye moves freely through the composition, guided by soft transitions of form and radiance. The piece is created using oil pastel, allowing for a velvety texture and soft, almost dissolving color transitions. Warm creamy yellow tones of light contrast delicately with cool grey-blue shadows, enhancing depth and volume. From early childhood, I knew I would become an artist — I was absolutely certain of it from the age of three. My formal art education began at the age of nine when I entered art school, later graduating from the Faculty of Graphic Design. For five years, I worked in a museum as an exhibition designer, creating and curating displays. Alongside this, I produced commissioned artworks in various graphic techniques, including ink, pastel, sanguine, and watercolor. For six years, I taught design, helping students develop their artistic vision and technical mastery. At the age of forty, after the birth of my child, I realized I had not yet fulfilled my lifelong dream — and returned to oil painting. I have always admired this medium for its depth, monumentality, and timeless ability to preserve beauty and emotion for generations. The scent of oil paint, its texture, and the creative atmosphere it creates form a unique space of inspiration where expressive and vivid paintings are born. My work is inspired by the harmony and perfection of nature — forests, meadows, flowers, birds, insects, and especially roses. Through oil painting, I strive to capture light, warmth, and beauty, creating contemporary artworks for interiors that fill spaces with joy and harmony. I believe my paintings speak to the soul of each viewer, bringing inspiration and a sense of peace. At this stage of my artistic journey, I am exploring new ideas, refining my technique, and shaping a visual language that is truly my own.
