As a child, von Gelden discovered his enthusiasm for painting and music, a passion that was to never leave him. His pictures always reflect his inner being, which could not be more versatile. This results in pictures with extraordinary expressiveness that nevertheless leave room for the viewer's own individual interpretation. He finds his inspiration in the world of music. Inspired by numerous trips through the most diverse countries of the world, he developed his unusual style of painting as an autodidact. With a confident style, he reflects the spirit of the present without committing himself to a direct subject. Von Gelden's works impress with their aesthetic simplicity and clear lines. Central aspects such as color, light and contour are creatively formulated from a new perspective. The focus is often on figurative compositions, which, however, remain committed to the abstract right up to the dissolution of the objective. By mastering numerous painting techniques, both in acrylic and oil, he knows how to create virtuoso color compositions rich in contrast. He shows his pictures at various presentations and they are very well received at home and abroad, as well as in numerous private collections, the number of which is constantly growing.
