His approach is not confined to a single style, which demonstrates a constant willingness to embrace artistic risk. Experiments with Color: Dudka utilizes color as the primary emotional instrument. He freely experiments with his palette, shifting from local, saturated, and decorative color blocks to the complex division of color into thousands of vibrating, layered strokes that create a kaleidoscopic effect (figurative and mountain subjects). For him, color is not realism, but the energy of the painting. Search for Form and Texture: The artist is in a constant search for expressive form. He employs a technique of powerful impasto, transforming paint into an almost sculptural material. In his works, nature and the figure are not merely depicted, but created from relief, tactile layers. His artistic journey began under the guidance of the distinguished Ukrainian artist Yuriy Savchenko (1935–2018). Taras Dudka had the unique opportunity to develop his distinctive painterly style while working directly in the Master's studio, where he absorbed not only technical methods but also a profound respect for color and composition. This foundational mentorship became the crucial starting point for his subsequent pursuit of bold artistic experiments.
