I believe that every person has their own life task. Sooner or later, one has to define it and fulfill it. I think I discovered mine when I started practicing classical painting. I work every day, following the motto of the old masters: “not a day without a line.” This brings me joy, despite the challenges that arise when creating works in traditional techniques. One of the things that sets me apart is my attention to detail and thorough refinement. Nothing is secondary—everything in a painting should look almost perfect. I devote just as much care to the materials I use. I choose high-quality canvas and stretch it onto a stretcher myself, so I can be sure that even after many years, the painting will retain its original appearance. I pay special attention to paints as well. Unlike most artists, I use only pure oil paint without solvents or other supplementary materials—just natural pigments. I strive to ensure that my paintings are not just beautiful decorations, forgotten soon after purchase. I want each work to evoke emotions and tell stories about nature, the essence of things, emotions, and people. And I believe I succeed.
