Ala Ilescu

Ala Ilescu is a Canadian abstract painter. She is originally from Moldova. Her paintings are mostly inspired from natural gemstones. She was always charmed by their colors and forms. In her paintings she uses free form lines, geometrical shapes and colors that are from the same palette. Ala works mostly with acrylics on canvas, but also likes to explore different mediums and techniques. Struggling with anxiety disorder, she uses her sensitivity and creativity as she finds shapes and colors for abstract notions like: anxiety, fear, soul, pain, to put on her canvases. Her work is about finding and being true to yourself.
