About the artist THEOPHILUS TETTEH

Theophilus is from the capital city of Accra, Ghana. A popular seafront to the Atlantic Ocean filled with pristine golden sand beaches and heritages sites. Home to charming attractions and villages of some of Africa’s most notable artists, political figures, and monuments that represent Africa’s Independence and pride. Theophilus is a member of the Ghana Association of Visual Artist (GAVA). Theophilius is an experimental and expressionist artist fascinated by the verities found in nature juxtaposed against man-made elements. Accredited in Painting and Graphic Design, Theophilius specializes in environments and landscapes which has allowed him to be versatile in his choice of media, technique and subject matter. Analytical Cubism has come to be his signature style. Concentrating on visual forms like dwellings, trees, humans, etc. he then deconstructs these physical environments and specimens into stylized colorful art forms that become a renewed viewpoint and perspective. In his own words: “I love to be creative and create things that others enjoy. Through my works, I look to highlight the beauty of my country and the relationship between humans and nature. As an artist, I feel it is my responsibility to convey a message of inspiration that evokes emotion and natural virtues. It has been a personal journey that I enjoy and treasure, and I hope others will feel the same.
