About the artist Montse Arnal

Miryai's works follow the deepest feelings, transporting us to the most beautiful worlds of poetry and music, dancing with color. It takes us to the original meaning of color, which puts for us in osmosis with our heart. With great personality in his works, he combines strength and sweetness, seeking masterly balance, knowing how to treat the abstraction that comes from his deepest spiritual sensations. We can place the work of this painter within the current of Fauvinism (whose illustrious representative is Matisse), since it puts more emphasis on colors, simplifying the forms, without worrying too much about the techniques and details. Miryai seeks, beyond the forms, to give life to the feelings, being the color the great protagonist of his painting, His works are in various private collections in Europe, America and Africa. Always proud of her native land, Catalunya, and influenced by her other land, Occitania, she lets her Mediterranean roots flow.

Education

Montse Arnal is an artist born in Barcelona, a medical student and a Law graduate. Many years ago she made the decision to dedicate herself to painting. His visual works should be viewed from the spiritual and emotional point of view. We are facing an artist who defines herself as an intermediary to express through her painting the creative force in connection with the universe. Through his painting flows sensitivity in light and color, he feels the need to express his own spirit in his paintings and transmit his most intimate message to us. All this makes those who observe his work receive peace, energy, joy and / or sensations that we want to interpret, in a word, makes the observer "feel alive". Self-taught for many years, he defines his painting as "intuitive", since by means of his brushes he tries to create an ethereal and reflective atmosphere. He has worked several techniques until reaching the mixed technique he currently uses throughout his work. Her apprenticeship at the Carme Muset Painting School in Barcelona made her obtain the Carme Muset First Prize for Painting in 2001. He has been practicing meditation for many years and considers it a source of inspiration for his creativity. This, together with her pictorial knowledge, has led her to teach painting workshops and therapy through which she works the emotions of the participants.
