About the artist Lynda Rymer

Let me introduce myself to your interest in my story for my pursuit of art. I had the privledge of being involved in artistic endeavor my entire life. I am for the most part self-taught, although I have had teachers encouraging me along the way. Also my study continued at Citrus College in California. I would express to you my work, which I consider a gift, has been in these catagories: Oils on canvas; Watercolors on french press watercolor paper; Wood carvings and furniture design; Hand-painted Murals in commercial and residential spaces. My style is best described as impressionism, which is my favorite style. I have been a professional artist selling my art form in the culinary world as a pastry chef and cake artist. I have had my business as an American Folk artist. This gave me the opportunity sell my art to the Smithsonian and have my art in several national magazines including the cover of Country Living. I am inspired by my love of gardening and interior design. It is my greatest joy to paint art others can enjoy. It is my desire that my art will not only express shapes and colors, but will transcend a moment which captures a still life. Thank you for this opportunity to share with you. Lynda Rymer
