I am Kankana, born 1990, from Kolkata. From my childhood, when every child loves to play, sing or dance, I loved drawing. From Pencil, then Pencil Color, Pastel, Pencil Shedding, Watercolor, Poster & Fabric Color, Oil, Acrylic and Texture - Journey is long... My professional approach started when I joined Birla Academy of Art & Culture (Sur Sangam), Kolkata, where I have learned a lot about paintings. I have completed my 4 years Diploma from there. After that, I have participated in various exhibitions, where I have seen and interacted with various artists, their work & approach, their thinking etc and it certainly enriched my knowledge and thinking a lot and they are all my inspiration. Everybody or I say every artist must have his or her comfort or fevourite zone or medium of painting. I have also mine. I Love Abstract or Semi-Abstract paintings with various subjects like City Art, Nature, landscape and sometimes city with nature through my fevourite medium Acrylic. I have also experimented Acrylic with Mixed Media (like Acrylic with watercolor or Nepali handmade paper, Pencil, Ink, Sand, paper cutting etc.). I believe that, satisfaction stop your creativity and I have never fully satisfied with my artwork. I want to learn, experiment more & more till the end of my painting days.
