Description of the Artwork “Nude in turquoise”

This artwork by KOlha transcends the ordinary depiction of the female body, inviting the viewer into a world of introspection and dream-like contemplation. The focus on a nude woman in a squatting pose, her head bowed and hand covering her face, suggests a deep reflection or a private moment of vulnerability. The use of contrasting yellow and turquoise hues not only accentuates the female figure but also adds a layer of complexity to the narrative, encouraging a dialogue between the seen and unseen, the expressed and the concealed. Through this painting, KOlha navigates the realms of the female psyche, capturing the serene yet profound beauty of the human form.

About the artist
KOlha

KOlha, Ukraine

I am an artist based in Kovel, Ukraine. I started my career as an artist in 2004 by taking a part in international Plein-air. However, I have been drawing since early childhood when I came to the local Art School. I think art is a magical view of life, it’s just a different point of view. And an artist has to share his vision. I want to convey to people the hidden meaning of everyday things and actions. My tools are a brush and a palette knife, I change them depending on the task. My paintings can be painted with flat spots or as textured layers or mixed ones.
