The world and the first people were created in dance. It’s not the explanations that are important here, but the power of the ancient signs, the pattern folded into paint that everything in the world wants to devour us, everyone wants to copulate with you, wants to receive its life through the hot juices of our flesh. The world is the rhythmic contraction of the earth under the sky. In this archaic dance, I tear off my clothes and skin, feeling like an empty figure pouring light from the palm of my hands, knowing that it will flow into silly ashes in the finish. I know it's sure to run off, not hold every drop. The scarlet λογοσ serves the horned god, covering the scarlet weakness of knees, breath, and speech. We serve that which is above us, and above us is anything, half-full people. From inside of this picture, something that wants to touch us is older than the first person and larger than the last.
Kateryna Goncharova is a Ukrainian artist, currently residing in Armenia. Initially, she obtained a degree in design and architecture but her passion for art led her to pursue a career as an artist. Her work revolves around important social and philosophical issues such as war, emigration, issues faced by women in a patriarchal society, etc. She also loves creating figurative artworks dedicated to human diversity, inclusivity, and inner strength. Her pieces depict people of all genders, ages, races, and social statuses. Now Kateryna is interested in working in mixed media and huge formats - approximately human height. It seems to her that we, as humanity, now live in a historical time and must think and act broadly.
