This is a painting-amulet. In Egyptian mythology, the scarab was revered as the sacred insect of the Sun gods and was considered a symbol of the creative power of the Sun. Made in the author's technique with a palette knife on canvas using acrylic paints to create a bumpy background surface for impressively laid several layers of paint of different colors. The scarab's wings are made using gold leaf, the veins are drawn with a gold acrylic marker. The picture is textured and bright and it will decorate any interior: of a living room, dining room, bedroom or office. Perfect modern fancy housewarming gift. It is painted with acrylic paints on canvas with a palette knife and coated with acrylic varnish, so it is easy to care for and can be wiped with a damp clot to remove dust. The structural paste was used to create the painting (see the close-up photos) The painting is stretched on a stretcher, the sides of the painting are painted over, and it is ready to use and hang on the wall.
I am a self-taught artist. I like to immerse myself in new areas for me. I managed to change many professions and occupations and always succeeded. It can be said that I have lived several lives by changing professions. And it's very exciting. I was a primary school teacher, microbiologist, journalist, presenter, editor-in-chief and director of a TV channel, food photographer. But I have always wanted to paint! And yes, I paint finally! My paintings are different. I want to try more techniques, styles, materials. It is boring to live and paint, being squeezed into the framework of one style. I love experiments. I hope that the thrill that I get when I'm painting is felt in my work. I would be happy if someone feels the world with such feelings, such sensations and such a vision. I want my path as an artist to be full of joy, creativity, inspiration. I would be glad if we cross paths on this interesting path.
