Description of the Artwork “Load”

A figure of a woman that is cut along the shoulder with an encrusted piece of wood in the shape of a square right on her shoulder, almost like back pain, it is the fixed baggage that cut is in half forcing us to live with it.

About the artist

Mexican sculptress, who started working with different materials from a very young age, with 17 years of experience that combines the search of linking art with social life and the international dimension of her work. With a degree in Cultural Management, and a diploma in sculpture from the Cabañas Cultural Institute; with more than 30 collective exhibitions and 4 individual exhibitions. Her work has led her to to exhibit and leave public works, mainly in wood, in Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Argentina, Canada, United States, Australia, Thailand, Tanzania, Switzerland, Spain, Finland, Denmark, Italy and Germany. 
She has been achieved grants from FONCA, Proyecta and Sucede, programs by the State of Jalisco and the municipality of Guadalajara. She Organizes and manages the International Wood Sculpture Symposium in Guadalajara since 2015 with the intention of creating a sculptural park for the city.
